Yarden chooses Facultatieve Technologies 18-7-2006
On Friday July 7 Yarden (one of the largest funeral service companies in the Netherlands) and Facultatieve Technologies signed a contract for the installation and maintenance of two cremators and four filter installations. Two new FTIII cremators with flue gas treatment plant will be installed in Heerlen Crematorium. At Ockenburgh Crematorium (The Hague), Rotterdam Crematorium and Venlo Crematorium, new filter installations will be retro-fitted to the existing cremators.

Meeting strict environmental conditions
These new installations of Facultatieve Technologies (world wide market leader in the field of design, construction and maintenance of cremators and incineration equipment) will be operational by the end of this year. By fitting this filter equipment now, Yarden has chosen to meet the strict Dutch environmental conditions even before they are legally required to do so. The new FTIII cremators at Heerlen will enable the Crematorium to accept wider coffins than previously.

“It is important to install this new equipment without noticeable changes to the architecture of the building, not only to cause as little disruption as possible to the services but also out of consideration for the costs”, says Peter van Wageningen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yarden. “Therefore we are very pleased that we will be able to fit the equipment into existing buildings in ‘Ockenburgh’ (The Hague) and Rotterdam. In Heerlen and Venlo we will have to make architectural adjustments.”
